Formed in 2021 by freelance photographer, Stephen Diamond, DEFUNKT PHOTOGRAPHY specializes in film and digital photography services for the music industry, weddings, engagements, automotive, travel, events, and portraiture in the New York City region.

 

Stephen first began his analog photography journey during his years at Bryant University when he acquired his beloved Canon AE-1. This camera set the foundation for Stephen's love of film.  As a fan of all things old and analog, such as vintage cars and vinyl records, film photography felt right at home in his hands. After 10 years of 35mm film experience, Stephen has expanded to medium format (120 film), as well as Super8, 8mm, 16mm, and digital photography/videography.

With contributions to indie music magazine, The Luna Collective, Stephen has shot major artists such as Dua Lipa, Arctic Monkeys, & Red Hot Chili Peppers at venues from the Beacon Theater to the main stage at Firefly Music Festival.
